Project Description

Designs for a self initiated project to create the branding for a poster exhibition surrounding the subject of nuclear weapons. The concept required the production of a series of posters that would appear within the exhibition itself, but also consider the branding and advertising for the exhibition too. I also produced a packaging element that could be used as a promotional piece, or as a take home item from the exhibition.

Chain Reaction

A poster that tells the story of the originating factors that lead to the development of nuclear weapons. The story itself is a ‘chain reaction’ formed from the world changing discoveries and theories of Ernest Rutherford and Albert Einstein. The poster utilises the logo as a reference to splitting the atom.

Blood On Our Hands

A poster acting as a reminder for the responsibilities we have for maintaining an opposition to the use and existence of nuclear weapons.

When Will They Yield

This poster uses features from the exhibition brand to represent the mushroom clouds of various significant historical nuclear detonations. Making a visual connection to the nuclear yields of these detonations, then following the increasing diagonal line of scale up to a symbol of ‘banning’ that sits next to the current global stockpile levels. We should all ask the question of when will they yield?
