For my 8th wedding anniversary I received a real little gem of inspiration from my beautiful wife, a beautiful little book celebrating the genius of Herb Lubalin.
Having clearly identified my enthusiasm for the work of this influential graphic designer and typographer. My wife has also picked up on some excited mutterings I had made for the Unit Editions website I had stumbled across last year.
“Unit Editions is an independent publishing venture, producing books for an international audience of designers, design students and followers of visual culture.” I was lucky enough to find this amazing publishing specialist during my studies for my BA and had obviously made this enthusiasm quite apparent.
I shall very much look forward to reading this book about one of my favourite designers who Unit Editions describe as “at the forefront of 20th century typographic innovation.”
